Hi Darran thanks a lot. This was just a typo here in the forum. The principals are equal in my configuration, so there must be another error. I restarted the server 2 times. no change. still the same error. looking forward to the GA. This is really a great tool and exactly what I was lookingn for. [JBoss Cache: Core Edition] - No route to host / failed sending message to null

I'm experiencing an intermittent loss of replication after several hours of the applications using JBossCache 1.4.1.SP9 with JGroups 2.6.3.GA for Hibernate 2nd level caching. I am only able to reproduce the problem on Windows XP which is my local development environment. The same code and configurations work fine on Linux and Solaris. Did you cut and paste those examples or type by hand? In your properties file you have: - hausberger@MYDOMAIN=Users But in the log you have: - hausbergers@MYDOMAIN So there is a 's' missing before the '@' You may also need to restart your JBossAS instance as it could be possible that the original credentials are being cached. No need to apologise for the questions, I am currently putting together the candidate release ready to GA the library I can take some of these points and add them to the troubleshooting section of the user guide. The first thing you need to do is to create a "client proxy" for accessing the web service. JBoss ships with a tool called "wsconsume" that can do this, but it doesn't work for me due to a bug in JBossWS 2.0.1 (this bug is already fixed by the way). In any case, I suggest you use "wsimport" from the Sun Metro Web Services stack which works perfectly well for me. Get it here: http://java.sun.com/webservices/downloads/index.jsp What you need to do is run: wsimport -s /path/to/source/files -d /path/to/compiled/files http://hostname/webservice?wsdl This will create the source code & compiled binaries for the "proxy client" of your web service. I have to agree with Clebert. A warm-up period is critical before taking any measurements since JIT warmup can make a huge difference (I've noticed about a 300% performance difference). Secondly just sending messages is not really a good measurement. One reason is that after the call to send() has returned it doesn't mean the message has actually reached the queue, in all likelihood it's still sitting in the client buffer waiting to be sent, or in transit. Just measuring send speed doesn't really tell you anything. For non persistent messages (and in some cases with persistent messages with some providers) messages are typically sent asynchronously. Hello, Thank you for that. It works indeed. However, it is an all-or-nothing method. Is it possible to control access to individual operations of the web service? In other words, can I have some methods in the POJO require authorization and others be accessible by all? The simple workaround would be to have two web services (one for public use and one for authorized-only use), but that would not be elegant in my case (there's just two operations that need to be public). As previously mentioned, messages will get put back on the queue when the client gets timed out (not when another client reconnects).
