[JBoss jBPM] - IE crashing on browse for deployment file

Hello...I have deployed a project with a local archive. Recently, a new problem has arisen with IE in that it crashes when searching for the deployment file from the browse window. I wanted to check here and see if anyone has ever had a similar error before writing it off as a Winblows bug. I have since switched to firefox and am able to deploy with no problem. 1) You are using an old JDK - 1.5.0_06. Please download and install the latest 1.5 JDK. (Hold it, read and do step 2 instead.) 2) It also appears that you downloaded the JDK6 version of JBossAS. In that case you should download and install the latest JDK6. (Do not install it into Program Files, I have mine installed at c:/apps/jdk-1.6.0_07 3) It appears that you do not have JAVA_HOME set. You need to set it to where you installed you JDK. I see you are running 5.0 CR1. Try this - stop the app server, remove the war file, start the app server, then deploy the war file. The deployment ordering in CR1 is still not quite up to par so it usually best to let it deploy its stuff first and then once it is started you can deploy your war file. (Alternatively, you could create a deploy.lat directory within the deploy directory and place your war file there.) If that doesn't work, post the first stack trace. Run the sha256sum utility, giving it the zip file. It will print out a result; compare that to the contents of the sha-256 file. The same holds true for md5, in which case you would use the md5sum utility. Check the man pages for details. PeterJ Sorry to have disappeared, but I've been dealing with resurrecting a crashed server. We implement properties files for each environment to avoid the "cut-n-paste" hazards. But the odd thing is that our Ant build script is wrapped by another script for network deployment. In there was some scripting that changed the context based being deploy. So in effect, the context root was being change again .. and this didn't work for my local environment. Why that is there is a mystery since the build.xml file is no doubt the logical choice, especially since we use property file for each environment. Anyhow, thanks for all your help in tracking this down. I've also started to delve into the JBoss documentation, in order to learn more. Any suggestions on docs would be appreciated.
