I'm in the same boat, getting these '[PropagationContextManager] jboss-atx: unknown Tx Propagation Context' messages. It seems that I've made progress however. I was surprised when I hit full GC because the tenured generation at only 37% in use, until I realized that I had been running for an hour. It was the sun.rmi.dgc.client/server.gcInterval settings - they are set to run full GC every hour. You do not want to manually force a collection - that could cause performance problems. Eventually, your tenured generation will fill up and you will hit a full collection. Even without a full collection, the JVM will occasionally free classes that are no longer used, thus reducing the size of the permgen. Set the -XX:+TraceClassUnloading option to see this. I ran another 5600 business transaction. My pergen size hovered around 48MB to 50MB (it would increase to 50MB and when I hit a full GC it was reduced to 48MB, at which point it would increase again unti lthe next full GC). Therefore, it would appear that there is an initial, substantial, increase in permgen usage when the EJBs are first used, after which the size increase is greatly reduced. I imagine that the amount of the increase depends on the number of different EJBs are deployed. "How would I know if it uses WS-Security" Re: If the Web Service is implemented using metro you can see it in security service configuration file. Respect to keystore, really, you only have to add the cert to truststore because there is where java looks for trust certificates that comes with messages (server sends a message and signs and/or encrypts it whit a cert). [JBoss Tools (users)] - Performance issues getting severe

Hi JBoss Tools Team, I don't want to say this is strictly a JBoss Tools issue given that Eclipse certainly won't be winning awards any awards under the "Performance" category. However, I'd like to point out some concerns myself and our team is having regarding the performance of our workspace. After prolonged usage (generally 6+ hours), our Eclipse processes are nearing 1 GB in memory usage. Opening JSF pages becomes a 2-3 minute process with Eclipse becoming unresponsive until the time it has let go of the resources it is using to open the page. We are setting the default view to "Source" but it seems to still try and load some of the visual components, as evidenced by some of the log messages I receive. Our JSF pages generally include several ui:includes to facelets and we are using Seam. When the memory usage hovers just below 1 GB, we commonly receive "out of memory" messages and we are asked if we want to shutdown. At this point, we close and restart Eclipse. Memory usage at this point is now at about 200 MB. At this point, memory usage jumps by about 30 MB per JSF page that we open and rarely do I see this memory being returned back to the system after the JSF pages are closed. Anyways, this is really becoming a drag. Is there anything we can do to improve overall performance and response times? [Management, JMX/JBoss] - How to check with java code, if a deploy was sucessfull?

I know I can deploy and undeploy invoking methods of MainDeployer MBean. but they haven't return value! look: void deploy() -> param: java.net.URL void undeploy() -> param: java.net.URL They are void! I know I can add listeners on subdeployers, but if occurs another deploy of another application in the same time, I have to check in each notification how is the application, to not give a wrong feedback to my user... Is there an easyer way to check if the deploy was sucessfull? the other way I thought, is invoking method "boolean isDeployed() -> param: java.net.URL" after each 5 seconds, waiting return value true (if I called deploy()) or value false (if I called undeploy). But if the operations wasn't sucessfull, I will wait forever... What I do?
