Hi Wolfgang, Thanks for your reply. But, I have a doubt. In real-time scenario where user details are stored in a database table, do we let the server drop the tables? Or is there a mechanism where we can restore the data or automatically cache it in the server files? Have you set up the demo setup coming with jBPM or have you installed jBPM into an existing Tomcat installation? "Authentication failed" is not only shown when you've supplied the wrong credentials but also when Tomcat could not access the database with the users' credentials or when there was a problem with the class for authentication configurated in the realm. [EJB 3.0 Users] - JPA/EJB3 Entitybean/Hibernate JPA....Confused...

I am confused with all the three things when it comes to an implementation... I took the following path... 1) read JPA concepts 2) read EJB3 Concepts 3) developed the sample application with EJB3 & Jboss4.2.3GA....the application runs fine...even if i dont configure the Persistence Provider... 4) read the Hibernate JPA concepts....and got confused... following is the bunch of questions i am having in my mind... 1)when I am using EJB3 Entities...do i require PP...? 2)if yes...how come my application ran without configuring a Persistence Provider(PP)...? 3) can I develop an application's Persistence layer using only JPA...? 4) when I saw a sample application on Hibernate JPA...It was same as my application except a configuration of Persistence provider as Hibernate... I mean Entities(POJOs with annotations) were same...both were using javax.persistence.EntityManager for persistence operations.... so where the difference is laying between the application developed using EJB3 Entities & the one developed using Hibernate JPA....???? Thanks for the posts on your blog on this, robinthomas. Quite detailed and helpful! Your 5 blog posts (so far) that list how jBPM 4 differs from jBPM 3 appear with many other blog posts, some relevant to that topic, most not (hey, it's a blog :-)). It would be helpful for those considering the move to 4, if these could be somehow consolidated. A nice simple start might be a blog post that simply linked to all the previous "part 1, part 2, " etc. posts. Or maybe it would be a JBoss official web page somewhere (maybe this already exists, my apologies if I've missed it). [Installation, Configuration & Deployment] - how to configure Jboss As 4 and hibernate2 ??

Hallo , server.log tells me always that im using Environment] Hibernate 3.2.4.sp1 where can i handle this ? i have an har archive with hibernate-service.xml and net.sf.hibernate.dialect.MySQLDialect there i get an error ' Could not instantiate dialect class' because hiberbate3 wants to instantiate an hibernate2 dialect. i removed deploy/jboss-hibernate.deployer because it alwys wanted an Harurl ....... i am also not shure if i should use "http:// "http://hibernate.sourceforge.net/hibernate-mapping-2.0.dtd"> or can use also hibernate.sourceforge.net/hibernate-mapping-3.0.dtd"> ???? so many questions ??? i didnt found any good information View the original post : http://www.jboss.org/index.html?module=bb&op=viewtopic&p=4265103#4265103 Reply to the post : http://www.jboss.org/index.html?module=bb&op=posting&mode=reply&p=4265103

Hi, thanks for your response. So far we didn't have a <prepared-statement-chache-size>. [JBoss Tools Users] - Problem deploying archive

JBoss Archives Tools 3.1.0.v200910281724M-H247-M4 eclipse.buildId=I20090611-1540 I create an archive with the archive tool (an EAR archive). When I deploy that archive into JBoss using publish, it is published in a folder under the deploy folder with the same name as the ear-archive with extension jar Is this a bug? Should the ear be wrapped in a folder? My archive has name test.ear. The archive tool places it in the workspace.
