java.lang.reflect.UndeclaredThrowableException

Hi all,
I'm beginning ejb3.0.
I have the following stuff inside a server package, I deploy on my JBoss
4.0.4-GA:
FooBarBean.java - a stateless session bean
FooBarException.java - an extension of Exception
FooBarRemote.java - the remote interface
A method in FooBarRemote throws FooBarException.
FooBarBean implements FooBarRemote (and thus throws the FooBarException).
On another package, on the same project folder, I have a FooBarClient.java
that connects to JBoss via jnp and looks sup JNDI to get the right bean and
uses its method.
I start the JBoss server, create a Remote debug config inside eclipse where
I enter the project folder, connection type is standard (socket attach),
host is localhost and port is 8000 (I have configured eclipse to bypass
proxy for localhost). I launch the remote debug and it is fine.
When I run the client, I am able to debug up to the point where I pass
FooBarBean an invalid parameter, for which I except to see the
FooBarException printed on the console.
Some thing like
input is i=1
if ( i<0){
throw new FooBarException("1 is greater than 0").
But I get the above java.lang.reflect.UndeclaredThrowableException on a
proxy0 back caused by java.lang.ClassNotFoundException.
I've double checked: the client invokes the correct bean and the method call
is made between try catch, catching FooBarException (the client would
syserrprint the FooBarException to the console). If the input is valid,
everything is fine.
I'm not sure how I should interpret this error: Does it mean that JBoss is
unaware of the FooBarException class? (It's in the jar however).
Any hints?

[Security] - JASS login/logout with EJB stateless

Hi,
We 're using JBAS 5.1.0 GA with JASS authentification in a EJB stateless client GUI standalone.
At the server side we 're using a ClientLoginModule and a ServerLoginModule at the server side.
We have a problem with the login/logout mechanism because each client can
modify dynamically his password and when he exit we do a logout with the
ClientLoginModule .
The problem is the logout at the client side (ClientLoginModule ) doesn't call the 'logout' at the server side (ServerLoginModule ) and when the user reconnects at the first time he get this error :

[jBPM Users] - Re: The last stable version of JBPM

I think I need to remove some confusion here:
All the releases that we do in the community (except for alpha and beta releases) are considered stable. We cannot rule out all bugs but they are all well tested. Over the last two years we also have build a fully automated QA matrix that allows us to run the test suite on an array of combinations of JVM's, databases, JBoss and Tomcat versions. So in this respect, the latest stable version has just been released: it is 4.2.
Now to comment on what Stelios said, the releases in the 4.x branch are not (yet) officially supported by Red Hat. They are only supported by the community. This means (among others) that there is no guarantee that particular bugfixes will be backported to a version that you might be using. But if you are lucky, the community might just do it for you or if you are willing to throw some effort against it you might just do it yourself.
I hope this is a bit of a clarification.

Why not use @IgnoreDependency all the time?

Hello Jboss-users,
We're deploying a decent-sized number of EJB3 beans (about 400 beans, 900
injections) using JBoss 3.1.0 GA on Linux. Apart from the fact that it takes
several minutes to redeploy and leaks memory, there's one thing that got us
baffled:
Whenever we find a cyclic dependency in our @EJB injections, we've found
that adding @IgnoreDependency solves the problems. Everything seems to work
fine with it. Which has led us to wonder: Why don't we just add
@IgnoreDependency to all our beans and never worry about cyclic
dependencies? What would go wrong if we did? If nothing were to go wrong,
would it be faster or slower at redeploying? Is there a way to disable the
whole cyclic dependency check altogether?
We're a little confused about what exactly happens to injections where
@IgnoreDependency are used.

Thanks for the reply! As you suggessted, I have rollbacked the changes that made in security-policies-jboss-beans.xml. Now this file is as it is we will get in Jboss installation. I am not build new application, this is old application developed in EJB1.1. [Is it required to upgrade to EJB3.0 but I didnt think so its required]. Now the jboss.xml in "ejb-jar"/META-INF looks like as follows :

I could see from the log that its making call to the CustomLoginModule & getting the Subject. But its throwing java.lang.SecurityException. But I am able to access unprocted EJBs and protected servlet.
Just for your reference from the log file:

Principal: jaasuser
Principal: Roles(members:DSBeanRole,ProtectedServletGroup,ValidUser,jaasrole)
Principal: CallerPrincipal(members:jaasuser)
and security context post-mapping roles=Roles(DSBeanRole,ProtectedServletGroup,ValidUser,jaasrole,).
Is that I need the caller subject to EJBContext in my Servlet or do I need to define some policy file to give permission? If yes, could you please let me know how to set.
