[Tomcat Integration] - Re: Session is getting merge with other session

Dave, I missed your post in October. Yours and igain's are the only reports I've had of this occuring. It's obviously a significant concern. How frequently are you seeing this? Only suggestions I can make involve code changes: 1) To tomcat/src/main/org/jboss/web/tomcat/service/session/JBossCacheManager.java add | @Override | protected String getNextId() | { | while (true) | { | String id = super.getNextId(); | if (sessions_.containsKey(id) || unloadedSessions_.containsKey(id)) | { | continue; | } | else | { | return id; | } | } | } That's in later version of the class. 2) The SessionIDGenerator class itself was recently changed, primarily to support use of /dev/urandom as a source of random bytes. You could look at porting some of that back to the 4.2.3 version. Current version of the class is at https://svn.jboss.org/repos/jbossas/trunk/tomcat/src/main/java/org/jboss/... I've tested the SessionIDGenerator and created millions of IDs without duplicates. So any info on when/how this happens would be most appreciated. [Persistence] - Re: Urgent: Problem of set the jboss datasource with name

Thank jaikiran for the reponse. I have no problem to set the datasource with name "java:jdbc/juddiDB". But "java:comp/env/jdbc/juddiDB" is what I need. Could you give me some advice for this? Thanks. Why is there such limitation? From programming API, it just overrides the property declared in persistence.xml. For BEAN management type, do we need to implement any transation related methods? We use JBoss 5.1.0 GA. Thanks for help. [jBPM Users] - Unable to retrive the process instance

JBoss AS Issues with hibernate on JBOSS AS 5.1.0

Hello, am note sure this is the correct mailing list for this, feel free to redirect me to correct mailing list if not. I tried to migrate a tomcat (.war) application to JBoss. Unfortunately, jboss has it's own hibernate libraries that it exposes to my webapps, leading to all sort of nasty effects. I managed to get rid of most by removing my own hibernate libraries from the WEB-INF/lib. However, the jboss integrated libraries show this curious message blocking my webapp from starting: org.hibernate.MappingException: Cannot cache an unknown collection: org.tonguetied.keywordmanagement.Keyword.translations I have no idea where it comes from or how to get rid of it. Can not reproduce outside JBOSS. My question are: - if possible, how to get rid of it. - Otherwise, how to have JBoss not expose hibernate librairies to my webapp so my webapp can use it's own. Second option is best to me, as it will prevent future version conflicts between different apps. Help greatly appreciated, am clueless on this. [Beginner's Corner] - How to get JBoss and Apache to work together

I have JBoss 5 loaded on a Win2k8 box along with Apache 2.2.14 and Coldfusion 9. I believe I'm having issues with Apache and JBoss not working together or set up correctly. What is the best way to set them up? I've read mod_jk is the way to go then others say mod_proxy. I've tried both but with no luck. We use JRun on our production servers and are thinking of switching to JBoss. JRun is fairly easy to set up with Apache, just load the module and you're pretty much set. Is there an easy way to get these two working together? [JBoss Web Services Users] - Re: JBOSSWS Webservice Error in UNIX

Nope, I'm using Linux 2.6.28-13-generic (Ubuntu 9.4) with java-6-sun-1.6.0.16 (the latest Java6 package) and JBoss 5.1.0.GA. It all works fine for me. I am, however, also using the JBossWS that was bundled with JBoss 5.1.0.GA (I never did the upgraded JBossWS install that all the guides tell you to). I started out using Windows, and just copied my whole JBoss directory over to Linux. The only problems I have had were with filename case issues (which could all be fixed by sticking it into a case-insensitive fs -- like vfat).
