[JBoss Messaging] - DetectDuplicates does not work??

Hi! Non clustered environment!! 2 Servers Messaging between them I am using a bridge with a remoteproviderloader. I uses QOS 2 ( transacted mode ) I just upgraded to 1.4.2 GA No I have read in the docs than maybe QOS 1 (dups allowed) with detectduplicates set to true is enough. So I made a test. At the Bridge I added a breakpoint at Bridge.sendBatchNonTransacted(). Then I did (or the Bridge did ) the following steps: 1. the Bridge sends the messages to the target. 2. the target session is commited ---> Messages are processed not at the target 3. NOW I KILL THE SERVER WITH THE BRIDGE ---> means the messages are not acknowledged on the source 4. I restared the server with the bridge 5. Messages are send again which is ok I think 6. BUT NOW the receiving server accepts the messages. I debugged into the code and the JDBCPersistenManager.cacheID detects the duplicate and updates the idcache. BUT nothing more? I thought that detectduplicates means that the duplicate message is dropped on the server if already received once?!? Is this wrong? When you start a instance of the server, it creates the JVM and all applications run in that single JVM. If you want to deploy the web applications independent of each, you can however start multiple instances of AS with each instance containing the unique web applications. why do you add the yyy.jar to ear directly? which server do you want to deploy the ear to? jboss server? If you want to deploy the ear to jboss server, I think ,when you create the web projects for client and server, you should select jboss server for these projects and add the yyy.jar to these project. Because your projects have jboss runtime, system do not import jboss runtime again when you import yyy.jar to these projects. And by this way, the yyy.jar will be added to ear automatically. Hi all, Is JBoss 5.0 running a a single JVM? No matter how many web application (war, ear, ...etc) in its "deploy" directory. Or actually each web application running as an individual JVM? My worry is that all web application have error when JBoss (single JVM) hang on by some reason. If there is individual JVM for each web application, they won't affect each other when one JVM hang on. Oh, and now it seems like the server seems to run fine without the error log, without deploying any project to the server of course. I go Edit Server Runtime > JRE > select jre1.5.0_14 instead of default JRE. What difference does it make actually? Any explanation for this to occur? this is never expected.
