4.0.3 would bind to all interfaces, localhost included, if you didn't use -b. Binding to all interfaces by default wasn't secure. Try this: run -b 0.0.0.0 which will bind to all interfaces. If you are using the "all" config that could lead to issues though, which we can get into if the above helps. I don't use Windows NLB so I can't comment on config details, beyond saying there's nothing in the AS configuration specifically oriented toward integrating with it. Alexis, These references come from code that JBoss AOP is parsing in order to peform weaving. Whenever JBoss AOP finds a class in the source classpath (the one that you set, telling JBoss AOP where to find the classes that must be weaved), JBoss AOP needs to check on every reference to another class, to see if that reference (it could be a call, the type of a field, etc) is a joinpoint that must be weaved. When JBoss AOP doesn't find that referenced class in the classpath, it will print a message warning you of this. So, there are classes in the source classpath that reference the classes mentioned in the warning messages. Pete and Mike, There must be at least a third element involved in the deadlock you described. If there is one read/write lock and one of the threads acquire the read lock, while a second one waits on a write lock, the first thread will finish execution and the second will be resumed right away. A deadlock wouldn't occur also if one thread holds the write lock while the second one is waiting to retrieve the read lock. I need to see the piece that is missing. Where are the threads that hold these locks, and why won't they let this lock go. Is there a way I can reproduce this? If you could attach your app to a Jira issue, it would be much appreciated. Thanks again Peter. So back to the config.xml file in jboss-portal.sar/conf : There is no way in version 2.4 of the portal I can specify that I want jsp to handle the error, and that it should redirect the error to a specific jsp page just like the way that version 2.7 does. Is this correct? [JBoss Portal] - Couldn't set configuration to "portlet project v2" on eclips

Hi, I've installed JBoss Portal 2.7.2 (bundled zip) on Ubuntu 9.04 beta. After I installed eclipse ganymede( eclipse-jee-ganymede-SR2-linux-gtk.tar.gz ) and JBossTools 3 stable (JBossTools-ALL-linux-gtk-3.0.0.GA-R200903141626-H5.zip). I've followed this step by step tutorial: http://blog.jboss-portal.org/2008/08/jboss-portlet-support-in-eclipse.html , but I didn't find "Configuration-> Portlet Project v2"(on picture 4). Could anyone help me? Ok, but reading JSR-168 spec (pag. 35), I have noticed this: The availability of the portlet modes, for a portlet, may be restricted to specific user roles by the portal. For example, anonymous users could be allowed to use the VIEW and HELP portlet modes but only authenticated users could use the EDIT portlet mode. I think this is optional for a JSR-168 implementation, so, in this case, is better to create separate Portlets to View and Edit datas, if I need different permissions for to modes, right? The entire portal, and all of it's pages and portlets, will follow that single configuration. The information about error-page tags is for web applications, not for portals or their portlets.
