[Security & JAAS/JBoss] - JBoss 4.2.3 and Security Annotations

Hi. Is it possible to use Java security annotations (i.e. @RolesAllowed) in JBoss 4.2.3? I know JBoss 4.2.3 should support java 5 and 6, but the docs at http://www.jboss.org/file-access/default/members/jbossas/freezone/docs/Se... only discuss setting up security the old school way with config files. Please let me know also if there is any good documentation on this, as I could not find any. Thanks. I did use the new jboss-remoting.jar along with the 1.4.3GA messaging jar... It does the same. I am going to try and use AS 5.1 and see if it still happens. thanks. There's another chapter to the story. I noticed recently that NewCompressingMarshallerTestCase, which runs in about half a minute on my Windows laptop, takes about 13 minutes on one of the Red Hat linux test machines. It turns out that the GZipOutputStream constructor takes an order of magnitude longer in linux than in Windows. I've changed CompressingMarshaller so that it reuses a single GZipOutputStream but replaces the Deflater with each call to write(). CompressingUnMarshaller has the symmetric changes with respect to Inflater. Now NewCompressingMarshallerTestCase takes about 18 seconds on my Fedora laptop. I've attached to JBREM-1077 "Fix problem in CompressingMarshaller" a copy of jboss-remoting.jar from the 2.x branch with the changes. [Installation, Configuration & DEPLOYMENT] - can multiple nodes use the same exploded war

I have an application that has a large number of files in it. I plan to deploy this on a server running multiple nodes. Since the number of files is very large, I am going to uses an exploded war. I plan to keep the deployment outside of the deploy folder http://www.jboss.org/community/wiki/Howtodeploymyapplicationinanexternald... The question is, can I specify the same folder for each of the nodes. Will that cause any issues? Can someone tell me how to suppress this message in the JBoss server.log file. It's filling our logs and is created by our bean managed EJB transactions. I'm only interested in logging ERROR messages at this point. I tried modifying jbossjta-properties.xml without success. Thanks.
