The JBoss tries to use a authentification which the glassfish doesn't support. The glassfish server use a basic authentification. Check for any other valves or filters which try to read out the request parameters, either by calling request.getParameterValues() or request.getParameter(name). If there is such a valve or filter, remove it. 3. If you expand the launch related to testng and right click the process node and select Properties you should be able to see the full command line that the testng plugin is using for its launch.
