However, some script (when I debuged the statement : deploymentId = repositoryService.createDeployment() .addResourceFromClasspath("org/jbpm/examples/java/process.jpdl.xml") .deploy(); )still tried to update the table in oracle. Oracle error still took place. Another question, I run the examples on hsqldb-server. The statement below: *ProcessInstance processInstance = executionService.startProcessInstanceByKey("Java", variables);* ** I could *not find out how the processInstance executed by key "java".* ** I wrote a console with the same statement. [JBoss Tools Development] - Portlet Development is Effectively Unusable in JBoss Tools

I have read the documentation and have downloaded the tools that are supposed to support portlet development. According to the documentation, in order to begin portlet development we are supposed to create a "Dynamic Web Project" and setup the project to work within a JBoss runtime. Instead of using the default configuration for the server, we are supposed to click "Modify" and, in the Facet window we are supposed to select the checkbox for Portlet support. Trouble is: there +is no+ "Portlet support" checkbox! Without portlet support, any attempt to create portlets to run within a Portal server creates failures. In fact, some of the failures have been known to crash Helios. Note that thie problem of missing Portlet support facets is not new to the latest Tools. This problem also exists in versions designed for Eclipse 3.5 installations as well. Until this problem is fixed, your tools are completely unusable for portlet development. Note that for this reason, I will likely be using OpenPortal tools for my portlet development until someone fixes thios problem. According to the documentation, in order to create a portlet project we are supposed to create a dynamic web application. The application is supposed to be comfigured to point to a JBoss installation, and instead of using the "default configuration" for the JBoss runtime, we are supposed to click the Modify button and select Portlet support in the resulting window. The resulting window does not have a portlet support checkbox! Consequently, when you try to create a portlet there are errors and problems due to the portlet JARs missing. This problen has existed in the Tools for Eclipse 3.5 as well as the Tools for 3.6. In other words, the bug has been successfully transferrd inti the newer version. This problem persists regardless of the fact that the Tools for portlets has been downloaded. It effectively makes portlet development impossible. --------------------------------------------------

In version 4.4, jbpm.default.cfg.xml no longer contains the predefined notification and reminder templates. Instead, it imports a separate resource, jbpm.mail.templates.xml. An empty jbpm.mail.templates.xml file could be the cause of the WireException. Please attach your jBPM configuration file and any custom documents imported from it. Now I'm investigating the jBPM failure scenario. As I see, if process instance was interrupted by system failure in some activity, it will recover in the previous saved state (expectable), but process execution will not be resumed automatically. My attempts to play with ExecutionImpl methods mostly leads to messages that "process state is not active: async" or NPE while accessing Environent instance. Is there a way to resume an async executions that were breaked by system failure? (Same question is relevant for wait states, but I haven't tried failure in them yet).
