[jboss-user] [JBoss jBPM] - help me regarding Process State

Hi, Iam new to jbpm. And Iam trying to execute a simple example using Process State.I wanted to clarify whether we need to persist the process , to get the process executed in which process-state node is used. currently i tried to execute the example with out persisting but it threw an exception : org.jbpm.JbpmException: can't create a process instance when processDefinition is null please someone clarify my doubt.
