That sounds weird. To clarify you are saying that if the EJB is first called by the timer you get no AOP, and that if first called via a business interface you get AOP? As far as I know there should not really be any difference in the classloading when called with a timer Are you using loadtime weaving? What happens if you try compile-time weaving?
