Open a command prompt, cd to the bin directory, and run the run.bat script. Like this: cd c:\opt\jboss\jboss-4.2.1\bin | run You should then get a log out log messages showing in the command window. The last message will contain the text "Stared in xxx seconds". After you see that message, open a browser and enter the URL: http://localhost:8080 (By the way, make sure that JAVA_HOME is set.)
