You need to tell us more about your setup. Which version of JBoss AS? Which operating
system? Is it a clean installation? Do you have any applications deployed in that
instance?
The log4j configurations are in JBOSS_HOME/server/< servername>/conf/log4j.xml (or
jboss-lo4j.xml depending on the version of JBossAS you use).
