[jboss-user] [Installation, Configuration & Deployment] - log4j logging not working as expected! What am I doing wrong

jBoss 4.0.4 I am trying to print a debug level message in a category which I think is set up with "DEBUG". Yet I am not seeing the message! I'd appreciate it if somebody could point out what I am doing wrong.
