The -ds.xml file looks fine to me. Do you have an secure beans in your application -
annotated either through @SecurityDomain or < security-domain> in jboss.xml?
Also in your -ds.xml file could try removing the following configuration and see if it
works?
<application-managed-security>true</application-managed-security>
