Yes, i ve been able to obtain an EntityManager / -Factory by JNDI lookup by putting it into the JNDI as described in your link. What I meant was, that unfortunately, the EntityManagers obtained by this procedure are Container-Managed and therefore lack the life-cycle and Transaction controlability as possible with Application-Managed EntityManagers.
