Did you really want to make all the services the embedded container has use oracle or just your app? Normally it would be just your app, and you would edit persistence-test.xml to point to a different datasource, which you would include on your classpath when running the test - I don't think you should be editing hsqldb-persistence-service.xml (and you would need to ask on the embedded forum if you want to do this).
