You are trying to inject the seam component: "theUser" while your Seam component
is called: "userInput"
either:
1) Change
private UserInput theUser;
to
private UserInput userInput
2) Change
@Name("userinput")
to
@Name("theUser")
3) Change
@In(create = true)
to
@In(value=userInput, create=true)
