The Quartz RAR is really directed towards messasge inflow and not geneal Quartz usuage inside of JBoss per se. For example, the Quartz RAR assumes that Quartz has already exists and is running with the app server. You will want to take a look at the EJB3 documentation. I am not sure if this has been updated in awhile. For the general case, you can take a look at the Quartz project itself.
