The Hibernate configuration produced by the jBPM installer works for me on a default Oracle XE installation. I just had to create the jbpmtest user. We also have a working Oracle Enterprise installation in our QA lab. So I have to reply your post with "works for me" and ask for a concrete issue report (exception stack trace, log, etc).
