Many Java libraries have problems with paths that contain spaces. Try moving JBossAS out of Program Files. For example, I have JBossAS installed at f:/opt/jboss/jboss-4.2.3.GA. You should also do the same for the JDK - mine is at c:/apps/java/jdk1.5.0_16 (you do not have to re-install the JDK, simply moving it and changing JAVA_HOME is sufficient.)
