Looks like you're trying to access "tdmAlerts" after the transaction has ended, or after manuall closing the session held by the Entitymanager. This happens pretty frequently if you're sending the object to a remote client or storing to/retrieving from a session (HTTP, SFSB, etc), for instance. Where are you calling "refresh"?
