I did forget to respond to your question. This is a stock jboss-portal-2.6-CR2-bundled with necessary modifications to make it use MySQL as the datasource. There are no errors/stacktraces thrown when creating content. It has no problem creating and maintaining persistence of pages and subpages. The only problem at this point seems to be around CMS.
