JBoss AS 5.0 uses JBOss Messaging, not JBossMQ, hence the reason you could not find deploy/jms/hsqldb-jdbc2-service.xml. Instead, replace deploy/messaging/hsqldb-persistence-service.xml with the appropriate file from docs/examples/jms. And to modify Quartz, which provides the timing service, you need to download Quartz and do a bunch of configuration changes.
