I may not help with deployment of .har file as i have no experience with Hibernate.
To deploy your JSF application on JBoss Portal please download HelloWorldJSFPortal from
following link and you need to edit XML files:
http://labs.jboss.com/portal/portletswap/portlets_tutorial.html
This will help you configure JSF application.
