Alessio Soldano updated JBWS-3048:
----------------------------------
Workaround Description:
Two possible workarounds (beside manually fixing the installation, which is probably
difficult for common users):
- use the src distribution instead of the binary distribution
or
- first install another jbossws version (JBossWS 3.2.2 for instance) and then install
JBossWS 3.3.0 (which would then use the uninstall info added by the 3.2.2 install
process)
Workaround: [Workaround Exists]
bin-dist does not correctly undeploy previously installed stack
---------------------------------------------------------------
Key: JBWS-3048
URL:
https://jira.jboss.org/browse/JBWS-3048
Project: JBoss Web Services
Issue Type: Bug
Security Level: Public(Everyone can see)
Components: jbossws-cxf, jbossws-metro, jbossws-native
Affects Versions: jbossws-native-3.3.0, jbossws-cxf-3.3.0, jbossws-metro-3.3.0
Reporter: Alessio Soldano
Assignee: Alessio Soldano
Priority: Critical
Fix For: jbossws-cxf-4.0, jbossws-metro-4.0, jbossws-native-4.0
When trying to install jbossws 3.3.0 binary distro on top of a vanilla JBoss AS 5.1.0,
the previously installed native stack is not correctly removed, hence we get a broken
installation.
This does not happen with ant deploy-jbossXYZ from sources.
