My entity had a version property:
@Version
@Column(name = "OBJ_VERSION", nullable = false)
protected Integer version;
In a very involved ajax reRender/conversation situation I sometimes got the following exception from HibernatePersistenceProvider:

VersionType versionType = (VersionType) classMetadata.getPropertyTypes()[ classMetadata.getVersionProperty() ];

This failed because oldVersion was 'null' and version was '0'.
Hibernate returned '0' from ClassMetaData.getVersion(), it looks like it can't return null, from Javadoc: Get the version number (or timestamp) from the object's version property (or return null if not versioned).
We should do a null check before asking Hibernate.
Workaround: Use primitive for version field in entity or initialize it to '0'.

To Jboss AS 4, I deployed an ear which contained jta-1.0.1B.jar and hibernate-validator, but not hibernate, hibernate-annotations and hibernate-entitymanager.

If a Seam component that triggers a timmer is used, an exception may be throw in the JBoss starting:

And it does make sense, since the timer service tries to execute a method of a seam component before the seam application is started. To solve this i think that EJBs that are seam components should only be started after all the aplications in the server get started, or something like this.
I tested it using a timer that generates a log (@Logger) at every minute, and restarting the server (the delayed timmer would be triggered before the Seam App is up).

The wrong locale gets set when using the 'Messages' component in a @WebRemote method called from javascript. Regardless of supported and default locales in faces-config.xml whatever the browser requests is used.
I'll attach a clean project with code example. Basically I hunted it down to org.jboss.seam.international.LocaleSelector.getLocale() where we get the locale from the HttpRequest since no FacesContext exists.
It would seem you can only have supported and default locales in a ordinary JSF request, It would be nice if Seam could keep of track that for you instead of JSF, or have I misunderstood something?
