http://pastie.org/3018879 describes some of the things that I see that are not serializable from the StandardServiceRegistryImpl. I'll create a jira for this but I'm not yet sure of the fix release. I also would like to frame this better. I'm rambling in this email thread to myself and anyone that wants to follow.
