Get all bug fixes in master via normal processes. Once 7.1 diverges into stuff we do not
want (so far not the case) I will create a 7.0 branch and audit the commits in it.

- What's the maintenance branch?
- Do we still use the pull request mailing list to submit patches?
- What the next bug fix release date?
