[JBoss Eclipse IDE (users)] - JBoss 2.0 beta crashes 20 times a day + OutOfMemory problems
by infinity2heaven
I love the JBossIDE for its integrated setup of features but Its just sad that it keeps crashing every half hour atleast 10-20 times a day. I incresed the heap size to 512MB, even 1GB still I get outOfMemory problems. In fact my eclipse task bar only shows 40MB of heap usage at any time.
What is wrong with JBOSS IDE?
Im running windows xp SP2, 2 GB Ram, PIV, So have a high end machine at my end.
Can anyone suggest tweaks to this ide to make it work better?
The only other alternative is that I download base eclipse but I would be needing the following plugins from JBossIDE, If anyone can suggest me which folders/file plugins to copy from JBoss I could manually do that
1) generic server plugin (where I can configure/debug jboss+tomcat servers very easily). I really need this as with eclipse remote debugging doesnt work really
2)db browser plugin (really need this one!)
3)Jboss rules plugin
I work on spring/hibernate and dont need webservices or any of the J2EE components that come with JBossIDE
Can I configure my base eclipse to include the above plugins from JBossIDE?

[EJB 3.0] - Re: J2EE 1.4 + EJB 3: how to mix
by ajay662
We are in the same situation. Have been using EJB 2.1 SLSB and MDB for a while on jboss 4.0.5. Now we want to use ejb3 for new development. Are there any guidelines on how to deploy a mix of two.
Should we use "ejb3" configuration from jboss 4.0.5 installation if we want to mix the two?
Do ejb 2.1 and ejb3 beans need to be in separate jars? can they be in the same ear?
I tried by installing "ejb3" configuration off jboss 4.0.5 and deploying my old ejb2.1 jar/ear under it. Quick testing showed no problem.
Then I tried adding a sample ejb3 SLSB to the same jar/ear and deploying is giving following error..

[JBossWS] - Failed to set value - argument type mismatch
by hugin78
Hallo
In my wsdl file I have a type with enumerations. I have one operation that returns an instance of the type - This one is working fine. I then have another that take an instance of the type as argument and this one fails with the exception:
