Hello, I am using JBoss AS 4.2.1 and JDK 5.0. I have the server running but I have not done anything with Hypersonic (the tutorial does not mention it) so I do not obtain the output you posted. Have same problem since switching from Seam 1.2.1.GA (with JBoss 4.0.5.GA) to Seam 2.0.0.GA (with JBoss 4.2.1.GA) ERROR [org.jboss.seam.drools.RuleBase] errors parsing rules in: /META-INF/security-rules.drl | ERROR [org.jboss.seam.drools.RuleBase] Rule Compilation error Type mismatch: cannot convert from Role to boolean (/META-INF/security-rules.drl:8) The problem apparently stays even after removing the line with the not Role And I've tried the seam-space example of Seam and it works fine. So ... we probably have misconfigured something. Any hints? Thank you Damian, I discard Option 1 because: Maybe in other languages the phrase may be writen with another words order. EJ: #{myDate} is the date But option 2 is useful for me: My date is {0,date,dd-MM-yyyy} But, do you know if I can pass these parameters throug EL? Ej: #{messages['message'](myDate)} or something like these? Thanks! [JBoss Seam] - MAIL thanks to templating language

Hi ! I use jboss-seam-1.2.1.GA and jboss-4.0.5.GA. I want to send the message bellow but a can't use "#{mb.firstName} #{mb.lastName}" in <m:from> tag ! Indeed when I use it, I see only the address value of the from tag and not the name value ! But when I put "My team" in the name value of the from tag all works normally ! It's very strange because when I put this information("#{mb.firstName} #{mb.lastName}") in the body of my message, the firstname and the last name is display! I have an other question on this subject ! Is it possible to hide email addresses !? Because each email of the mailSetcollection is display in an email ! Do you have an idea to help me please ? There are a plethora of options open to you here. 1. If the messages.properties message is just 'My date is'. Then you just print out your date eg:#{messages['message']}<h:outputText value="#{myDate}"><s:convertDateTime dateStyle="yyyy-MM-dd"/></h:outputText> 2. If the messages.properties message is 'My Date is {0}' then you could create the message in your Bean using MessageFormat eg:@In Map<String, String> messages; | .. | public String getMyMessage() { | return MessageFormat.format(messages.get("message"), new SimpleDateFormat("yyyy-MM-dd").format(this.myDate)); | } I'm sure that there are several other ways of doing it. If you are deploying the jbpm-console.war on a JBoss 4.2.x instance, please make sure that the jbpm-console/WEB-INF/lib folder only includes the libs listed at the bottom of the wiki: http://wiki.jboss.org/wiki/Wiki.jsp?page=DeployJbpm3.2WebAppUnderJBoss4.2.x I've just verified that this works properly and have also linked the missing libraries on the wiki to the download location in the jboss repository. Looks like you have placed incompatible JBoss jar file(s) in the client application's classpath. You should place the same version of jbossall-client.jar file which is present in the %JBOSS_HOME%/client folder, in your client's classpath. [JBoss Seam] - Shared Resources and Templates Across War/Ear Deployments

I am relatively new to Seam and am looking to start using it as our base application framework. What I am looking to do is have multiple web apps, each with their own war or ear deployment due to differing development schedules, requirements, etc, but all supported and (hopefully) integrated by a core application. The problem I am having is that I would like to have common page templates and such across these deployments so as to maintain a consistent look and feel. I have thought of two methods, neither of which work :) 1. The core application acts as a proxy to the individual apps, embedding their content within the body space of the template facelet. 2. The individual tools access the template from the core and render it themselves. Ultimately, the goal is to have multiple tools that can be (un)deployed without affecting the others each with a common look & feel. Any help that can be provided would be greatly appreciated as I am hoping to present this as our main web toolset, and already have some projects lined up to utilize it. The JIRA issue Pete linked to is the reason for your error. A workaround is to add parenthesis to the method call in the EL (so "#{webCustomerAction.persistContact()}" ).
