ah that's quiet another story, I described securing a web app, not ejb's. You must annotate the EJB's with the security domain and allowed roles, like this: (assuming you work with EJB3 that is) @Stateless() | @SecurityDomain("exampleDomain") | public class MyBean implements MyBeanRemote { | /** | * allowed to everyone | */ | @PermitAll() | public String getSimpleString() { | return "unsecure"; | } | | /** | * Only 'admin' role allowed | */ | @RolesAllowed({"Admin"}) | public String getAdvancedString() { | return "secured"; | } | } I'm not experienced with remote clients, all my clients are local... [JBoss Seam] - EL enhancements

Do the EL enhancements only work when used as the action attribute of a link? I ask because I got a parse exception when I tried to use #{entityHome.myMethod(var)} as plain text in an h:column, where var is the loop variable of the dataTable. Is the EL enhancement not supposed to work here, or should I keep looking for where I might have made a mistake? Also, I'm confused as to when methods need to have a "get" prefixed to their name when the name is specified in EL. For example, for what I described above (entityHome.myMethod), would the entityHome need a method named myMethod, or getMyMethod? You don't need to get the string value out of it, the Captcha component takes care of that for you. Take a look at the seamspace example (view/register.xhtml) to see how it is used. And that's completely wrong, as I've seen in other default Linux installations. Should be just (at least that line): 127.0.0.1 localhost and make sure localhost isn't mapped to anything else (when I set up my box sometime 2005 it inserted a line mapping localhost to my actual network adapter as well, effectively destroying name resolution). [JBoss Seam] - Seam and Captcha

Hi all! Im using Jboss Seam 1.1.6 and Jboss AP 4.0.5GA. Im trying to use the captcha libraries that are integrate in the org.jboss.seam.captcha package. The problem is that i dont know how to take the String value for the image. I was trying to use Captcha, CaptchaService, CaptchaServlet objects but i dont know how to take it. I registered the servlet in the web.xml and i can generate and see the JPG image. Can somebody help me to get the String value of it? I searched in the forum and i dont get some similar question. When I use durable subscription, is there any limit on the number of active durable-subscribers for a topic? Can I have more than one durable subscriber for the same topic? I read somewhere that there is some limit, but want to know if JBoss has any such limit. [JBoss jBPM] - Where to put hibernate.cfg.xml and jbpm.cfg.xml

I apologize for the seeming simplicity of the question, but I've been trying all night to find the appropriate place to put these, and I can't find the correct one. According to the example (?) jbpm.cfg.xml, it is intended to be in the root of the classpath, but the classpath appears to consist of tools.jar and a "run.jar" file; adding further class path entries and appropriately situating these files did not help. Are they intended to be in the compilation class path? Do I need to re-compile the web application to persist new classes? Further, is there any way to use a local configuration to persist class instances for a particular process definition? I am attempting to use JBPM 3.2 beta 1. Thank you for any help you can provide; I'm at wit's end and my searches are turning up nothing but the same vague hint at "root of the classpath". Anything more specific would be helpful.
