In general you need the tokenId (long), in case you model a process with multiple branches of execution and the transitionName (String), should you have multiple outgoing transitions at some point. With these parameters, use jbpmContext.loadToken(tokenId), then call token.signal(transitionName). You don't need the state, because the Token object you load will already contain a pointer to it. You do NOT need the extra jars just to run Seam. You need them only if you are using Seam Security. Note that the Drools guys are working to reduce the number of required jars (the next release will eliminate two of those dependencies). Actually we need to add a get/set pair for the RuleBase used by Identity. That would solve the unit testing problem. You should not need contexts in order to test this stuff.
