Try inspecting the actual HTTP request. What is coming back? Is the HTML coming back as you expect? If it isn't, check that your updated application is deployed correctly. Thanks for your response. After some additional research i found out the the Web Installer of Jboss AS 4.0.5 installs EJB 3 RC4. After manually updating to RC9 it worked correctly. Eitherway the tip from andstall helped me a lot. This really sometimes aids me in resolving classloading errors. mmhh, maybe this is a tricky one: The severity of the login failed msg is SEVERITY_INFO but I need a SEVERITY_ERROR. currently the xml editor in JBoss IDE is the XML editor provided via Eclipse WTP. Could you illustrate to me what the you think it actually does wrong ?
