There are some test classes within the org.jboss.test.remoting.transport.socket.raw (under src/test) that demonstrate using a remoting server with raw client. Of course the client is written in java, but should be able to use that as template to write your C/C++ client. Once I know the timeline, I will update here. I agree with your input that compatibility matrix should be prominent. Currently, it's mentioned in portal doc though. We bundle jbossas 4.0.4.GA with 2.4.1 portal and 4.0.5.GA with 2.6 portal. Thank you very much for the clear info. Which time frame do you except for this? I think the compatibility info is one of the most important info, and it should be on the download page. This would safe a lot of time of senseless effort :-) What else I'm missing is the jboss version used for the jboss portal + AS package, if there is any clear AS version of course, but I think there should be one. [JBoss Seam] - SEAM and temp topics

Is it possible to set up Seam Remoting to subscribe to a temporary topic? If so how would you get around having to set the allowed topics jndi name in one on the conf files? Is there a way to get a hold of the SubscriptionRegistry? Thanks! OK, it seems the managed flag is not being set when I navigate to that page from my select list. However, it does get set correctly when I navigate to the region.xhtml from an <s:link /> within a <h:dataTable /> tag. I am apparently building and submitting my list incorrectly. So now my question becomes, how do I build a list of entities that allows the user to navigate to the entity's edit page? I haven't seen anything like this in the examples, and my guesses do not appear to be doing the correct things. Thanks. Hi ! I would guess that "findByname" (seems to be some ejb method) throws an exception which cannot be de-serialised on the client side because the necessary jar file is not present or the class version differs. I'm sure the demo is quite out of date. However, the demo machine is shared between many demos, and right now it is stuck on 4.0.4. I don't think we can upgrade the demos without upgrading the server and the other demos on the machine.
