Hi Pete, This issue is stopping me upgrading to Seam 2.0.0. [JBoss Portal] - FCKEditor upload

Hi all, I am useing FCKeditor as html editor in my jsp/faces code on portal 2.4.1 and it works fine except for images upload. I tried with any configuration i found in internet but everything seams not working, the server browse doesn't let me see images i expect to see and upload of new file does nothing (with any messages in log file). Any suggestions? Someone have have used FCK before? I think that its because the names are not matching or because that ejb does not exist. Ok, I'm starting to get an understanding of your requirements. Let's address the issues separately. First of all, redirection - I'm not a fan of having the JAAS login module performing a redirect, I think this is a bad thing. Instead, how about you use login-view, and simply have this view do a client-side redirect to your other authentication page? <meta http-equiv="Refresh" content="0; URL=http://authenticate.institution.edu"> Secondly, detecting that the user has authenticated. You'll notice in the Identity class that there are two isLoggedIn() methods. The one that accepts a boolean parameter provides a means to perform an authentication "on the spot" so to speak, but *only* if the user's credentials are set. In the default implementation of the isCredentialsSet() method it checks that a username and password are provided. If you are instead authenticating via a cookie, you'll need to override this method and have it return true if there is a valid cookie present. That way, when you set #{identity.isLoggedIn(true)} on your page it should actually perform an authentication. Seam support for portlets has always been experimental: http://wiki.jboss.org/wiki/Wiki.jsp?page=SeamPortlet You can try to use it at your own risks (and eventually report the bugs). We have 2 choices: - We wait till everything works perfectly together and we restrict people from using new features and we release a thing every 2-3 years (Commercial style). - We release things when they are ready. Since we use a public SVN, it somehow gets released anyway. So JBoss Seam works, JBoss Portal works, the combination of the two has specified limitations, it shouldn't avoid users to use one or the other. [JBoss Seam] - Exception Handling Error -> redirect URL is wrong

Hi, I've a problem with redirection after an Exception. (Seam 2 CVS ) When an exception occurs, e.g. javax.persistence.OptimisticLockException, and the active URL is e.g. http://localhost:8080/hcare/resident/residentDetail.seam than the redirection URL is wrong --> http://localhost:8080/hcare/resident/residentDetail.seam/error.xhtml?cid=35 and not http://localhost:8080/hcare/error.xhtml as I would expect. My definition in pages.xml <exception class="javax.persistence.OptimisticLockException"> | <end-conversation/> | <redirect view-id="/error.xhtml"> | <message>Another user changed the same data, please try again</message> | </redirect> | </exception> | Could anybody give me a hint what's wrong?
