I declared richfaces.jar as a module in application.xml and copied the richfaces.jar into my ear. Its working now.... Dont know if this was implied in the posts .... [Beginners Corner] - Before Start we need your advice

Hi, We are going to introduce the JBoss application server and a Persistant mechanism to our institute. Following are the questions I got. 1) What is the exact difference between Hybernate and Ejb 3.0, Which one should we select for our Persistent mechanism. [JBoss Seam] - pages.xml navigation rules?

Hi, I have the following method declared in one of the backing bean: @Name("wcQuotesMgr") | public class QuotesManagerBean implements QuotesManager { | public String viewNews(Quote quote) { | return "success"; | } | ... | } | ... How would I tell the pages.xml to navigate to the choosen page? For example, I am currently declaring the following in my pages.xml: <navigation from-action="#{wcQuotesMgr.viewNews}"> | <rule if-outcome="success"> | <redirect view-id="/viewNews.xhtml"/> | </rule> | </navigation> Yet that does not seem to work. In all my other pages.xml declaration, I did not have methods that contains parameters. In this particular case, I have one parameter. Perhaps that is reason why I was not redirecting the page I would like. Any idea? [JBoss/Spring Integration] - dynamic jndiName in @Spring

We need to support multiple versions of the same ear in a single JBoss instance. In our session bean, we inject a Spring bean: @Spring(jndiName="xyzBeanFactory-1.0", bean="manager") private Manager manager; This is okay as long as someone remembers to update the session bean by changing jndiName to a dfferent name (e.g. xyzBeanFactory-2.0) every time we release a newer version of the ear. Instead, we are wondering if jndiName can be dynamic, say get its value from an env-entry in ejb-jar.xml. This will allow us to make our build tool (maven2) to substitute the bean factory version in ejb-jar.xml before packaging the ear. 1 more thing.. looking at my global JNDI namespace I see this... +- NewsApp (class: org.jnp.interfaces.NamingContext) | +- NewsEntityFacade (class: org.jnp.interfaces.NamingContext) | | +- local (proxy: $Proxy110 implements interface ejb.NewsEntityFacadeLocal,interface org.jboss.ejb3.JBossProxy,interface javax.ejb.EJBLocalObject) which makes sense..but I still dont know why I cannot get my NewsEntityFacade object out of teh object that comes out of the lookup. [JBoss Seam] - seam nightly build

Hi, Because i am behind a firewall i cannot checkout cvs repositories nor does maven work correctly with remote repositories :-( Some monthes ago there where nightly builds available on jboss.com.
