Hi, I am trying to cluster my Jboss deployed a war file written using ECHO2 and Hibernate. There are some issues to be solved in the source of EC?HO2. For that I need to run the war in Jboss in Debug mode. My m/c is running on LINUX. Please let me know where I can find proper documentation for configuring JbossIDE plugin in my current eclipse which already has Tomcat. [Beginners Corner] - Can the client connect to a Jboss server through socket conn

Hi, Can we implement a user defined server socket class in JBoss and open a normal socket connection to this server socket? If so, what all are the configurations that we should do? It is some thing like the client should be able to open a normal socket connection to the server deployed on JBoss (Not http requests). i.e. the server should be able to listen and accept the normal socket connections from the client. [JBoss Portal] - More portal 2.6.5 startup issues

When I double-clicked run.sh, it started the JBoss 4.2.2 GA I had installed. After a couple of minutes, I figured out that I needed to clear JBOSS_HOME. I did that and tried again. Now, I'm getting messages that imply a classpath problem. I'm not sending the log files unless you tell me how. [JBoss Portal] - 2.6.5 bin files not marked as executable

Okay. I've just unzipped the bundled stuff onto my Linux box. I double clicked the run.sh in the bin directory. It opened the editor because it's not executable. In fact, the bin directory contains no executable files. Obviously, I can figure out how to fix this, but I don't know which other files, possibly in other directories, might be permission-challenged and it shouldn't have been released this way.... [JBoss Portal] - Quickstart green-on-black???!!!

Figure 1 in the quickstart guide kind of shows the portal console. Unfortunately, it's green on black. It doesn't work very well viewed on the screen. It's almost illegible on my printed color copy. It is indistinguishable from black-on-black on a non-color copy. Ick. [JBoss Portal] - Quickstart with existing JBoss

I've already got JBoss 4.2.2 GA installed and configured. I'd like to be able to add the unbundled portal code, but the quickstart doesn't tell me how. I even looked at the quickstart contained under the unbundled version and it said to stert witn the bundled version.... Because I know that JBoss can be "amusing" to configure if you don't know all of the files to deal with, I'm going to use the bundled version today.
