It should work because I have done it before (I'll look for an example later to verify this). But I had a though - the height property is the same for both, try changing the height for one of them. (Height is a horrible name for this property - it really defines the relative positioning of the portlet window within the column on the portal page, and not vertical dimension of the portlet window.) Hi, is it possible (with JPA or Hibernate) to define a sequence for a JPA-entity's attribute that is not the primary key? All I found so far was the @GeneratedValue annotation. But the JPA Api-Doc says that it may only be used in conjunction with @Id ... Thanks! List, What happens is that Jboss is up, but the application does not respond, when this occurs we give a stop / start in Jboss application and return to work. The WhatsUP Gold (WUG) to get on a page and the page replied. We have made a probe that tests the page http://localhost:8080/jmx-console, and theoretically not be available if the Jboss is down. [Installation, Configuration & DEPLOYMENT] - Error Deploying Struts 1.3.8 Web App on JBoss-4.2.3GA

I have a generic struts 1.3.8 application. I am using straight up jsp for the UI, no faces code/libraries included. I am running and building with Java 5 release 16. This application deploys properly and runs well on JBoss 4.2.1.GA and JBoss 4.2.2 GA. When deploying to JBoss 4.2.3.GA, a class not found exception is thrown: [org.apache.catalina.core.ContainerBase.[jboss.web].[localhost].[/totalzillaConfigPortal_1.0]] Error configuring application listener of class com.sun.faces.config.GlassFishConfigureListener java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.sun.faces.config.GlassFishConfigureListener The release notes only state the following: "The MyFaces JSF implementation has been replaced by the Glassfish JSF 1.2 one, JBAS-3897", and this is under the heading JBossAS 4.2.0.GA. Seems like if something else changed, I would have seen it under the 4.2.3 heading and if nothing has changed between 4.2.1, 4.2.2 and 4.2.3 in this area, then why is my application no longer deploying? Am I missing something in the release notes ? I believe the class that is not found used to be in jsf-impl.jar? The version of this jar in this release of JBoss does not have that class, and I am not providing it, unless I need to start doing that for 4.2.3? Any constructive input would be appreciated. The only resource that jboss caches when you use its security features are the JAAS Subject in ihe HttpSession. In your case, since you are not using security, nothing is cached by Jboss. yes, I have. I am using the default for app1 and 'port-01' for app 2, so the default ports are 1099 and 1199. So finally what I did was, since I wanted custom ports, I changed these to the custom ports (in jboss-service.xml for app1 and my-bindings.xml for app2 ) and now thigns appear to be working. But best practise wise, where should one define these ports? in the jboss-service.xml, custom-bindings.xml or jndi.properties?
