I assume you have a BookShopContext.war file. Copy it to server/xxx/deploy. That's all you need to do. I agree with your appraisal of the bloatedness of Eclipse, after a few updated my Eclipse directory weighs in at well over 1GB! But I can't live without it (I'm addicted to command completion and automatic formatting) and disk is cheap. The JMS-related stack traces you posted are normal - note that they are of type DEBUG. These messages always show up the first time you run the app server (possibly every time if you use the default hsqldb database. Also, you should be using the run.sh script to start the app server - the script you posted is meant to be used to start the app server (as a service) when the machine comes up. Yes, the early format was deprecated in JBC 3, although it should still work fine. The schema shown on p 105 of the 3.0.2.GA userguide is for a single config, while the old "cache-configs" format was used when you wanted to specify several named configs in a single document, which is what org.hibernate.cache.jbc2.JBossCacheRegionFactory expects. But, JBC3 has a new schema to handle that too, although I'm not sure if it's covered in the docs. Here's an example: | <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> | <registry:cache-configs xmlns="urn:jboss:jbosscache-core:config:3.0" xmlns:registry="urn:jboss:jbosscache-core:cache-repo:3.0"> | |  | | |  | <registry:cache-config name="optimistic-entity"> | <locking lockAcquisitionTimeout="15000" nodeLockingScheme="optimistic"/> | | ...... | | </registry:cache-config> | |  | <registry:cache-config name="pessimistic-entity"> | <locking isolationLevel="REPEATABLE_READ" lockAcquisitionTimeout="15000" nodeLockingScheme="pessimistic"/> | | ..... | </registry:cache-config> | </registry:cache-configs> | | The content of a "registry:cache-config" element is the same as the content of a "jbosscache" element shown in the user guide. Only difference is the "registry:cache-config" element must have a "name" attribute where you give a name to the config, same as the JBC 2 "cache-config" element's "name" attribute. If you are using JBC3, I'm quite certain JBossCacheRegionFactory will handle the JBC3 schema without problems, since it delegates the parsing to JBC3 code. [EJB/JBoss] - MDB and Transaction

Hi, Is this correct - MDB's run under unspecified tx context? So what happens if MDB calls session bean which runs under a specific tx context and which inturn calls dao? In my case all the above things are happening and the dao class does not commit any tx - its assumed that calling code will issue the commit. Which works fine in jboss 3.2.7 but since not in 4.2.x. Any ideas how to issue commit? [JBoss Portal] - portal fetchs googles widget, cannot fetch mine

environment: jboss-portal-2.7.1-bundled.zip running over windows XP pro SP 3 investigating using google gadgets in JBOSS portal. tried the simple hello world gadget the google.com and the gmodules.com url fetched contents are clones of each other just saved the canonical google widget in my own google space. Both are equally accessible which is verified by pasting either url into your browser yet... login as admin / portal objects/default/pick any page / page layout / content type / widget google / gadget URI/ paste the following: http://www.google.com/ig/modules/hello.xml / select: everything works fine..
