The XML parsing is for the properties file. Maintaining a traditional key=value version of
the file for use on android is another alternative. To stop them getting out of sync the
build (done on a full jdk) could generate it off the xml version. That would limit the
changes to one place - the properties file parsing code - rather than all the beans.
if(android) { readAsKeyValue() } else { readAsXML }.
