I can recreate this with only the metro and jboss code. Here are my steps.
All on Fedora 10 with Sun jdk as the active jdk.
- Download and unzip jboss-5.0.0.GA-jdk6.zip.
- Download and unzip jbossws-metro-3.0.5.GA.zip
- cd to jbossws-metro-bin-dist
- Copy ant.properties.example to ant.properties. Edit this line only:
jboss500.home=/home/bkearney/Download/jboss-5.0.0.GA/
- run ant deploy-jboss500
- See the attached diff file.
- Start my jboss server using bin/run.sh
- from rh jboss-metro directory run ant test

This is already solved thanks to the changes for
https://jira.jboss.org/jira/browse/JBWS-2431 . IOW this is fixed starting from JBossWS
3.1.0.GA. As mentioned in the workaround area, if you need to stick with 3.0.5.GA, you
just need to fix JBoss installation removing the jbossws-native-*.jar libraries from
lib/endorsed, as they force the lookup of Native implementation factories.
