Use JBoss Web configured port number by default.

Key: JBWS-1435
URL:
http://jira.jboss.com/jira/browse/JBWS-1435
Project: JBoss Web Services
Issue Type: Feature Request
Security Level: Public (Everyone can see)
Affects Versions: jbossws-1.0.3.SP1
Reporter: Chris Laprun
What is the reasoning behind having to modify jboss-beans.xml for JBoss WS when you change
the web container port? I mean, after changing the port for JBoss Web, the WSDL is served
on that port so it doesn't make much sense for it to reference another port by default
(unless this had been explicitely modified by the user). This is troublesome because it
forces users to modify JBoss WS when there's really no need to. The default behavior
should be to use the web container port.
I know about:
http://wiki.jboss.org/wiki/Wiki.jsp?page=JBWSFAQURLRewriting so please
don't point me to it. I'd just like to see a saner default behavior. Having to
uncompress jbossws.beans (after figuring out that you actually can), then edit
jboss-beans.xml to change the port, then re-compress it (or at least make sure that you
create a jbossws.beans directory to enclose the contained META-INF directory) is FAR from
being a user friendly solution...
