Hi,
For example if I have a workItem defined like this:
<nodes>
<workItem id="2" name="Bob" x="63" y="136"
width="117" height="40" >
<work name="Email" >
<parameter name="inputType" >
</parameter>
</work>
<mapping type="in" from="content" to="content"
/>
</workItem>
</nodes>
How do I get the work item name - Bob? WorkItem.getName() returns
"Email" which is to me kind of the type of the WorkItem, not the name of
the WorkItem instance.

Brian,
Where / why are you trying to access this name? Note that you are
referring to the name of the work item _node_ (the node that controls
the work item). This name is not directly accessible from inside the
work item itself, but you could add an additional parameter "name" to
the work item to pass additional information outside.

New subject: RuleFlow and Internal Model
Hi,
We are attempting to use a rule flow in Guvnor 5.0.0 CR1. When we use the internal data
model, we get an error that essentially reads "
java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: OR split could not find at least one valid outgoing
connection for split"
When we use an external data model (model in java) instead of the internal data model, the
ruleflow runs perfectly. Any similar experiences? What is the way out? Would appreciate
input.

Is there a way I can set effective-date for rules in decision tables? It does not appear
in any of the key-words of a decision table syntax.

New subject: Effective-date in decision tables
I am attempting to work with effective dates in decision tables. My decision table has two
columns - DATE-EFFECTIVE and DATE-EXPIRES; and have a date of date-effective 01/01/2009
and date-expires of 12/31/2009. So far so good.. After compilation, the code I see has
duration 31/12/2009 - essentially, the compiler seems to have recognised the date. And, I
get an error that reads - [86,12]: [ERR 102] Line 86:12 mismatched input '/'
expecting 'then' in rule "CorporateVacations_22"
Here's the compiled code snippet with the error -
