The attached workaround file (HibernateEntityConverter) does not compile. Half the import
statements are also invalid, which is less than confidence inspiring.

The EntityConverter (<s:convertEntity>) only works with an EntityManager but not
with Hibernate managed sessions. Please find attached a HibernateEntityConverter for 1.2.1
GA.
I didn't supply a patch yet, because, as petemuir pointed out, the current HEAD
contains a lot of refactoring.
