Hi Manik,
Your JOPR plugin has an RHQ xml file that maps managed attributes to
"friendly names". Can this be generated? Each managed attribute/
operation is annotated using a @ManagedAttribute/@ManagedOperation
annotation, which has a "description". This is the description that
should be used in any GUI console.
I think that most of it could be generated -- at least a "draft" that
would need to be manually merged - some stuff just sometimes
makes no sense to be exported or needs special treatment in code. Also
I think the annotations don't really tell if e.g. a
String value (made up only of numbers) should be treated as Trait or
Numerical metric (or the other way around) - it makes no sense
e.g. to send a version number as numeric metric to Jopr every few
seconds - this would be a trait metric.
