[JBoss JIRA] Created: (JBAOP-406) Proxy Class is being transformed during AspectAnnotationLoader Execution
by Flavia Rainone (JIRA)
Proxy Class is being transformed during AspectAnnotationLoader Execution
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Key: JBAOP-406
URL: http://jira.jboss.com/jira/browse/JBAOP-406
Project: JBoss AOP
Issue Type: Bug
Security Level: Public (Everyone can see)
Affects Versions: 2.0.0.alpha4, 1.5.5.GA
Reporter: Flavia Rainone
Assigned To: Flavia Rainone
Fix For: 1.5.6.GA, 2.0.0.alpha5
During the execution of AspectAnnotationLoader, proxy classes are generated to represent annotation types.
An error will happen during this generation when
- load time weaving is enabled;
- and a loaded pointcut contains a reference to a pointcut definition that hasn't been loaded yet (dangling reference).
Trying to transform the Proxy, JBoss AOP will check the proxy class against the pointcuts that have already been loaded. When it gets to the pointcut with the dangling reference, the error will happen.

It looks like JBoss gets a reference to the remote object but tries to use it locally.
It works perfectly on JBoss 4.0.5 GA but in JBoss 4.2.0 GA doesn't.

Is there any update to this issue? I have the same problem, except my environment is a little different:

> Unlike the normal JNP/RMI Connection the HttpNamingContextFactory created Context does not recover from a application server shutdown. If I repeat lookups, the exception after the application server is available again looks like this:
> ex: javax.naming.CommunicationException: Could not obtain connection to any of these urls: http://127.0.0.1:8080/invoker/JNDIFactory [Root exception is javax.naming.CommunicationException: Failed to connect to server http:1099 [Root exception is javax.naming.ServiceUnavailableException: Failed to connect to server http:1099 [Root exception is java.net.UnknownHostException: http: http]]]

> Note the Unknown Host Exception, which looks pretty much like a destroyed or miss-parsed URL. Since the connection work with the same InitialContext instance before, the setup is correct:
> p.put("java.naming.factory.initial", "org.jboss.naming.HttpNamingContextFactory");
> p.put("java.naming.provider.url", "http://127.0.0.1:8080/invoker/JNDIFactory");
> p.put("java.naming.factory.url.pkgs", "org.jboss.naming:org.jnp.interfaces");
> p.put("jnp.disableDiscovery", "true");
> Context rootCtx = (Context)new InitialContext(p);
> while(true)
> {
> try
> {
> // rootCtx = new InitialContext(p);
> Context jmxCtx = (Context)rootCtx.lookup("/jmx/rmi");
> l = jmxCtx.list("");
> while(l.hasMore())
> {
> System.out.println(" - " + l.next());
> }
> } catch (Throwable t) {
> System.out.println("ex: " + t); t.printStackTrace(System.out);
> }
> try{Thread.sleep(10000);}catch(Throwable t) { }
> }
> This sample code works if i uncomment the re-creation of the InitialContext, however this is neighter needed by the JNP/RMI Version nor does the exception look like sane handling.
> The client is using jbossall-client.jar and jdk 1.5_04. Jboss 3.2.7 is running (unmodified default profile) on 1.5, too. Problem exists with 3.2.6, too.

>From my conversation with Tim:
[11:02:10] Tim Fox says: there is another smoke test we need
[11:02:18] Tim Fox says: clustered ejb, running in the all config
[11:03:01] Tim Fox says: the clustered calls a clustered JBM queue
[11:03:15] Tim Fox says: the JBM queue is deployed using the farm directory
[11:03:58] Tim Fox says: the client invokes the clustered ejb and then consumes the message from the clustered queue
[11:04:08] Tim Fox says: the quue and ejb home is looked up using HAJNDI
