> Very slow page performance using JSF 2 and Wildfly 8.2.0 for larger pages. I am migrating a large application from JBoss AS 7.1.1 to Wildfly 8.2.0 and page performance on loads and posts is very slow. I created a large JSF 2 test page and took timings for JBoss 7.1.1, Wildfly 8.2.0 and Tomcat 7.x using the same Mojarra 2.2.8 implementation as Wildfly.
> The attached war file contains mojarra 2.2.8 jars for tomcat. The attached ear file is for JBoss deployments and does not contain mojarra jars.

[JBoss JIRA] (WFCORE-491) Improve ManagedAuditLoggerImpl.log() performance when disabled

> Key: WFCORE-491
> URL: https://issues.jboss.org/browse/WFCORE-491

> Reporter: James Livingston
> Assignee: James Livingston
> Priority: Minor
>
> org.jboss.as.controller.audit.ManagedAuditLoggerImpl.log/logJmxMethodAccess() does some work such as creating the log item which will just be thrown away if getLoggerStatus()==DISABLED.
> It may be worth checking if that is the case and skipping the work that will not be needed. If it was not for the applyHandlerUpdates() call, I think an "isDisabled" volatile flag could be used to avoid taking the lock at all there, which can be expensive due to it being a fair lock.
> This does not appear to show up as a issue unless you are performing a lot (thousands) of management operations in quick succession.

> Reason:
> ConditionEvaluator seems to be using lazy initializing and then caches generated class to evaluate this expression with another arguments.
> Given following:
> interface A {
> String getString();
> }
> interface B {
> String getString();
> }
> class X implements B, A {}
> class Y implements A{}
> rule "test rule"
> when:
> A(string != null)
> then:
> end
> When rule engine is called for the first time with instance of class X, ConditionEvaluator will bind itself to first found interface implementing method getString(), i.e. interface B.
> Thus second call with instance of class Y will cause ClassCastException of casting Y to B.
> Solution: force MVEL to bind bytecode generated methods to class/interface declared in the rule explicitly, in our case - to interface A.
> Quickfix: use following declaration of class X:
> class X implements A, B {}
> Because ConditionEvaluator binds to first available interface, it will bind now to correct interface - to interface A.

[JBoss JIRA] (WFCORE-513) ConfigurationFile does invalid reload when special config file names are specified
by Brian Stansberry (JIRA)
[ https://issues.jboss.org/browse/WFCORE-513?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin... ]
Brian Stansberry reassigned WFCORE-513:
---------------------------------------
Assignee: Brian Stansberry
Fix Version/s: 1.0.0.Alpha16
Resolution: Done
> ConfigurationFile does invalid reload when special config file names are specified
> ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
>
> Key: WFCORE-513
> URL: https://issues.jboss.org/browse/WFCORE-513
> Project: WildFly Core
> Issue Type: Bug

> Affects Versions: 1.0.0.Alpha15
> Reporter: Brian Stansberry

> Fix For: 1.0.0.Alpha16

> ConfigurationFile records the value passed by -c or --[server|host|domain]-config and uses it to determine the boot file to use whenever it needs to boot. This is ok during initial boot, but it reuses it during reloads.
> This breaks down when specials values like "initial", "boot", "v1" or some snapshot are used. The reload ends up reading from the original file again, not from the latest persisted one, and any changes made are lost.
